Sometimes you can only doodle. Don’t worry about creating any kind of art, don’t stress about the end result. This was a page that invited me to just doodle imperfectly. Just make marks. Add stickers. Cut words from a book that has no deep meaning. Sometimes that is all one can do. And it’s okay.
This is so different from what I normally create or post. Perhaps my inner child has come out to play. My adult self is taking a nap. She is exhausted. Tired of adulting. She wants to go into a cocoon and hope that when she opens her eyes, this whole nightmare is over….
Not knowing is hard. We take things for granted and when something like this throws everything off balance, it becomes uneasy, unsettling. Stressful. Can only take a day at a time. Love one another. Be kind. Pause. Reflect. And art journal. My diary and therapy.
Our neighborhood is doing something cool today. We write messages on our driveways and walk around to see each other’s messages. Respecting social distancing yet bringing the neighborhood together. I can’t wait to talk around and check them out later. For now, this is our driveway. Love the exercise! Felt like a kid again!!! And I love the time with my daughter. We plan to fill the whole Driveway! I hope you would do the same. Leave positivity wherever you can.
Sometimes there are just no words to express how you feel. It is messy, and tortured, and uneasy. That is just I how feel right now.
It’s been stressful. A lot of uncertainty, paranoia and a feeling of uneasiness. It is messy, crazy and unpredictable. But I have faith that we will get through this together. One day at a time. We will emerge stronger and wiser. To get through this, I remind myself to KEEP CALM and BREATHE.
