Don’t be beautiful. As females, we’ve always been told to be beautiful. Why? Don’t be beautiful. Be interesting. Be intelligent. Be quirky. Be crazy. Be kind. There are so many more adjectives we can be. Be your own definition of amazing.

Started as a watercolor piece in my journal. Messed up the background. Gesso to the rescue! Added some collage. Turned it into a mixed media piece with some stencil and modeling paste. I like how imperfect she turns out. A little grungy.
